These bits are made of 18/8 stainless steel with a copper mouthpiece. Copper's flavor encourages horses to salivate, keeping their mouths soft.

The Dr Bristol bit adds more pressure on the tongue than the French Mouth style bit. The twisted copper mouth piece has rounded edges and the cheek length is 5 1/4 inches.
